The lockdown and closure of schools has directly impacted the digital divide for many students who may not have the necessary hardware to access their online courses, leading to a significant risk of grade disparity among students at the end of this quarantine period.
That’s why MolenGeek has launched a call for computer donations to companies with the goal of collecting 1000 computers. But collecting the computers is only the first step of the project. We now have to recondition all the computers received and install the software required by the schools before redistributing them to the students of our partner schools. With these computers, the students will be able to participate in online courses, have access to MolenGeek’s E-Learning content and any other type of content that will allow them to continue developing their skills.
Today, we need your help to recondition the collected computers!
As the amount of computers to be refurbished continues to grow, we have enlisted the help of expert computer technicians to enable us to prepare the computers for as many students as possible as quickly as possible. Your contribution will be used to cover all costs associated with the upgrade and preparation of the computers such as possible repairs and upgrades, data deletion, Microsoft operating system installation, and cleaning.
How to support this project?
Support the computer refurbishment project for students in need by making a financial donation* via the ‘Donate’ button on this page or in the menu and then choose the amount.
*Donations of 40 euros or more are tax deductible.
